Reporting filters are a part of the Reporting Panel on the Reporting screen. You use filters to define the specific information you want to view. Ringba's state-of-the-art reporting system uses these filters to let you immediately drill-down to the metrics and data that is most important to your business.
This article contains the following sections:
Reporting Filters
You define the reporting filters near the top of the Reporting screen:
The most popular filters appear as icons in this area. You can select any of these or click the +Filter button to create a custom filter.
Configuring a Filter
You can configure a filter in the Reporting Panel or by clicking a value in the Summary Report or Call Details Report sections.
Filtering in the Reporting Panel
Whether you select a button or create a custom filter, a panel appears where you configure the filter:
To configure the filter, you complete three fields:
- The type of information you want to filter on. For example, you can choose to filter by Total Bid Amount or Revenue.
- The operator. Your choices are Contains, Does Not Contain, Beings With, Does Not Begin With, Greater Than, Less Than, Equals Single Value, Does Not Equal Single Value, Exists, Does Not Exist.
- The value. For example, if you configure a filter with Total Bid Amount, Greater Than, and a value of 50, then the reporting includes only data for calls where the Total Bid Amount was greater than 50.
Note: If you choose Exists or Does Not Exist as the operator, you do not enter a value.
If you select one of the most common filters, the item you're filtering on appears automatically in the first field. The most popular filters are the following:
- Campaign
- Target
- Buyer
- Number Pool
- Publisher
- Dialed Number
- Inbound Call ID
- Is Duplicate
- Caller ID
If you click +Filter instead, you choose the value in the first field. The window that appears lets you search for the criteria or navigate the Filters or Tags tab to find what you want.
For example, the following list includes some values you find when you navigate the Filters tab:
- Account ID
- Affiliate ID
- Buyer ID
- Call Length
- Campaign ID
- Conversion Amount
- Failed
- Payout
- Pool ID
- Previous Target
- Target ID
- Time To Call
- Time To Connect
- URL
Note: You can only find values in Filters and Tags tabs if the data in your report contains at least one call with data in that field. For example, if you set your date range to data from Today, and none of Today's calls have a value in the URL field, the URL field is not available to select in the first field.
Filtering by clicking a value
If you hover your mouse over a value in the Summary Report or the Call Details Report, an underline may appear under the value. If that happens, you can click the value to filter the report. When you click the value, the Reporting screen updates to include only data for calls with the value you clicked.
Removing a filter
To remove a filter, scroll back up to the reporting panel and click the Remove / X on the right side of the filter you want to remove. If you want to remove all filters, click the Clear Filters button.
Reporting Filters FAQ and Troubleshooting
What's the difference between filtering and sorting?
Filtering refers to changing the set of data you are currently viewing. You can add filters, change the date range, or change the view-as to filter the report.
Sorting refers to arranging the order of your current report to make it easier to understand and analyze. You can click the column header in the Summary Report or Call Details Report to sort the data. Click the column again to reverse the sort. Click it a third time to remove the sort.
