Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a functionality to automatically interact with callers to get information from them or let them choose a menu option before a human answers the call.
Ringba's call flows feature includes IVR functionality and much more. Two call flow nodes specifically perform IVR functions:
- Gather node asks the caller for information, such as ZIP Code or age. The caller can respond either with key taps or by speaking their response, depending on how you set up the node. The gather node adds the caller's response to the call as a tag so you can use it for routing or other operations on the call.
- Menu node gives the caller options, such as "Choose 1 for auto insurance or 2 for homeowners insurance." The caller can respond either with key taps or by speaking their response, depending on how you configure the node. The menu node chooses the next node in the call flow based on the caller's choice.
In addition to IVR functions, call flows also offer nodes for many other functions, such as pinging Instant Caller Profile, firing a pixel, or executing a JavaScript snippet. See Call Flows with Ringba for a complete list of all the nodes you can use and to get started building your own call flows.
Call flows are available to admin users. Call flows are included in all Ringba subscription plans: Business, Professional, and Enterprise.
