This FAQ builds on Create a Ring Tree Target to Ping an RTB Campaign. While that article cover the general procedure, this FAQ adds information for the specific case of allowing the RTB client to see the caller ID. This article is intended for admin users.
Note: You must have Ring Trees enabled in your account to see this feature. Contact your Account Representative for more information about enabling Ring Trees.

Exposing the Caller ID on RTB
By default, when you ping an RTB endpoint, the Ringba system does not share the Caller ID with the buyer. Ringba only shares the Caller ID once the bid is accepted and the call comes in. Sometimes, however, you may need to share the Caller ID with your buyer, such as when you are using RTB Pass Through.
In these cases, you can instruct Ringba to share the Caller ID with the buyer by adding an explicit tag to your request. You add it to the code snippets you share with your publisher.
What to Add To Your Request
For GET requests:
exposeCallerId=yes
For POST JSON requests:
"exposeCallerId": "yes"
For POST XML requests:
<exposeCallerId>yes</exposeCallerId>
Where to Add the Tag
Use the following steps to add the tag to allow the Caller ID to be shared:
- Click Campaigns from the left navigation pane and then open the Campaign where you want to add the tag.
- Scroll down to the Publishers section. Click the trophy icon on the right side of a publisher's row to open the Documentation for Real Time Bidding.
- Copy the request you will use. Make sure to add the explicit tag to the request to the code, and then share it with your Publisher.
When information for a call comes from the publisher using this code, it will include the caller ID so that your buyer can bid on the call.
Tags You Can Use in Your RTTs
Once the caller ID is exposed, you can include the following tags in your RTTs:
-
[tag:InboundNumber:Number-NoPlus]
-
[tag:InboundNumber:Number]
-
[tag:InboundNumber:NumberE164]
