The Voicemail Node can be used to provide the caller with a way to leave a message. This can trigger a notification to the account administrator. The voicemail message will be recorded if the recording settings is on and can be listened in the reporting page like other regular calls.
- Node Name: Enter a label to appear at the top of the node on the canvas. This information is also helpful for identifying nodes in the Call Details Report.
Tip: Enter a descriptive name to help you differentiate this dial node from other voicemail nodes when you are troubleshooting or reviewing the reporting later. - Timeout (sec): Enter the number of seconds the target has to answer before Ringba marks the call as a No Answer.
- Max length (sec): Enter the maximum length of a recording in seconds.
- Finish on Key: Enter the key the caller presses to stop recording.
- Play beep: Toggle on this switch to play a beep before recording.
- Email notification: Toggle on this switch to send an email notification to account admin users when a caller leaves a message
- Message: Toggle on this switch to play a message to the caller before beginning recording. If you toggle on this switch, additional fields appear to configure your message. see Adding a Play/Say message to the Voicemail node later in this article.
Adding a Play/Say message to the Voicemail node
Nodes with audio selection let you upload a file or enter text to be played. A play icon appears on the node allowing you to listen to the uploaded file. Playing back entered text is not an option at this time.
For the "Play" option:
- Plays: Enter the number of times you want the file to play.
- File: Select or upload the audio file you want to play (.mp3 or .wav).
Tip: After you upload a file, you can access it from the Manage Media > Call Flows screen.
For the "Say" option:
- Plays: Enter the number of times you want the system to read the text.
- Language: Select the language of the text in the Voice Prompt field.
- Voice: Select which voice you want to read the text in the Voice Prompt field.
- Voice Prompt: Enter the message you want the system to read.
