Use the Menu node when you want to make a decision based on the key pressed.
- Node Name: A label that appears at the top of the node. This information becomes available in the call reporting.
- Timeout (sec): The amount of time the caller has to enter a response.
- Retries: The number of attempts a caller has to make a menu selection.
- Menu Tag Name: The call will be tagged with this value, it is used to control how subsequent nodes process the call. Select a tag name that will turn into a tag in your reporting and/or payout, tag routing filters. This field is required.
Adding a Play/Say Message to the Menu node
Nodes with audio selection allow you to upload a file or enter text to be played. A play icon appears on the node allowing you to listen to the uploaded file. Playing back entered text is not an option at this time.
For the "Play" option:
- Plays: The number of times the recorded message is reproduced.
- File: The audio file that will be used (.mp3 or .wav). After you upload a file in this field, you can access your audio files by clicking Call Flows > Manage Media.
Note: The maximum file size for the audio file is 40 MB.
For the "Say" option:
- Plays: The number of times the recorded message is reproduced.
- Voice: The gender of the voice
- Language: The language of the text that will be converted to speech.
- Text: The message that you want to be converted into speech.
Adding the next nodes on key presses
You can click on the "+" to add the node for the key press option.

Drag and drop to change the node's key press position.
