Ringba’s Splitter node is a powerful tool that lets you run split tests inside your call flows. The node distributes call traffic by defining the percentage of calls that go to each destination. It lets you perform A/B testing by routing a percentage of your calls to a different node or destination.
The Splitter Node

- Node Name: Enter a label to appear at the top of the node on the canvas. This information is also helpful for identifying nodes in the Call Details Report.
Tip: Enter a descriptive name to help you differentiate this dial node from other splitter nodes when you are troubleshooting or reviewing the reporting later. - Split Test Tag Name: Enter the name of the tag to capture which path the call followed. The system adds this tag to the call.
- Respect duplicates: Toggle this switch on to route duplicate calls to the same result.
- Routes: Configure the routes the call can travel. See Changing Weights later in this article.
Changing Weights
You can select the weight that you want for each route and the system shows you what percentage of calls will be distributed for each route. If you increase or decrease the weight for a certain route, it will automatically calculate which percentage of calls each route should receive. When adjusting weights, you can see the percentage distribution in the node.

Example: Running A/B Tests
This is an example of how to test a percentage of calls going directly to the final target versus a percentage of calls that going through a Gather node asking for the zip code prior to going to the final destination. You can analyze the end result of this test on your end using reporting and conversions.
