How long does Ringba keep call recordings?
Your call recordings are kept indefinitely as long as you have the Ringba account. Call recordings are part of the call logs, and Ringba does not change or delete call logs by policy.
I saw the recording URL from Ringba redirect to another URL. Which should I use?
Always use the recording URL in Ringba. If the location of the recording changes over time, the URL from Ringba will always direct you to it.
If I share the recording URL with someone, do they need to sign in to access the recording?
Accessing recording URLs requires credentials. When you follow the URL, the browser prompts you for a username and password.
Active users in your account can provide their login credentials to access the recording URL. Outside parties (people who don't have user credentials for your account) must provide special recording access credentials you create for them. See Recording Access for step-by-step instructions on creating recording access credentials.
Note: While Ringba transitions to the policy of requiring credentials to access recordings, we have temporarily implemented a 6-day grace period. For the first 6 days after a recording is complete, anyone with the URL can access the recording without credentials. Use caution when sharing recording URLs because there is no way to revoke access to the recording URLs during those 6 days.
If I share the recording URL with someone, can I tell if they followed it to access or download the recording?
No, Ringba does not currently track who, if anyone, accessed the call recording URL.
Can I prevent publishers from recording calls after they connect to my buyer?
No. Ringba cannot control the recording tools your publisher might be using.
Why is there no recording even though the call connected to a target and the settings to record were enabled?
Recordings start on connection to the final target, but there might be interim targets before the call gets there. If a call goes through to multiple Ringba customers, recording does not start until the final target picks up the call. If the final target does not pick up, the call looks like it connected because of the interim targets, but there is no recording.
