Number Blocking lets you specify numbers you do not want to receive calls from. When a number has been blocked, Ringba automatically terminates any inbound calls from the number when they attempt to connect to a number in your account or a number connected to a campaign.
Managing Blocked Numbers
To update, configure, and manage your blocked numbers, click Numbers in the left navigation panel and then click Manage Blocked Numbers.
The Manage Blocked Numbers screen contains two tabs: Individual Blocked Numbers and Bulk Blocked Numbers.
Blocking Individual Numbers
To block an individual number:
- From the Individual Blocked Numbers tab, click the Block a Number button.
- Configure the individual blocked number settings.
- Click the Block Number button to save your options and block callers that meet your criteria.
Tip: You can also block individual numbers in the Call Details section in Reporting under the Actions panel.
Blocking Numbers in Bulk
Before you begin these steps, have a CSV or TXT file of numbers to block ready to upload. The numbers must be in E.164 format and in clear text. Hashed values are not supported.
To block numbers in bulk:
- From the Bulk Blocked Numbers tab, click the upload button next to Numbers to Block. Select a CSV or TXT file with a list of numbers in E.164 format.
- Configure the Block Type to select if you want to block the numbers at the account-level or the campaign-level.
- Use the Number Validator to verify your numbers were uploaded in the correct format, and click the Bulk Block Numbers button.
How to Manage Bulk Blocked Numbers
Use the search box to verify the status of a number, and if necessary, remove it from the bulk blocked list. Please note, numbers blocked in Bulk do not appear in the Individual Blocked Numbers tab.
