Important: Starting June 1, 2025, multi-factor authentication will be required for all accounts. |
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a tool to protect your Ringba account from theft or hacking of your password. With MFA, a person cannot log into your account until they enter a code from an authentication app, in addition to entering the password.
Each user in your account, including admins, publisher users, and buyer users, must set up MFA individually. If a hacker gains access to your account through any user, they can cost you money, and Ringba cannot be responsible for your losses.
Tip: As a best practice, use an authenticator app on a separate device from where you log in to Ringba. For example, if you use Ringba on your laptop, you can install the authenticator app on your smartphone. Using separate devices makes it harder for hackers to compromise your account.
How to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication
Each user in your account must complete these steps individually. Setting up MFA for one user does not set it up for your other users.
Prerequisite: You must install an authenticator app before you begin this procedure. Most people install authenticator apps on their mobile phone. You can find a variety of such apps for your device, including Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and 2FAS. You can choose any authenticator app for this procedure.
Use the following steps to set up MFA:
- Navigate to Security > Multi-Factor Auth in the left navigation panel.
- Click the Add MFA Method button.
- Select Authenticator app from the drop-down list that appears.
- Open the authenticator app on your device and scan the QR code that appears using the device's camera. If you cannot use the QR code, you can copy the information the authenticator app needs by clicking the click here to copy link.
- Once your authenticator app is set up, enter the 6-digit code from the app into the Validation Code field and click Enable.
From now on when you log in, Ringba will prompt you to enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.
