The subscription fee you pay for Real Time Bidding (RTB) includes a monthly fee plus a per-ping usage fee. The per-ping usage fee is tiered based on how many pings you send/receive in the billing period. The RTB utilization feature shows you counts of the number of inbound and outbound pings related to your RTB campaigns so you can monitor the cost of your RTB campaigns.
This feature is available to admin users. This feature appears in your account if you have an RTB subscription.

RTB Utilization
The cost for your RTB subscription includes both a monthly subscription fee and a variable usage fee. The RTB utilization feature gives you visibility into how many pings your account is using.
The count of pings includes both incoming pings your account receives and outgoing pings your account sends. In addition to bids and requests for bids, the count of pings includes pings to and from:
The amount you pay per ping is tiered based on the number of pings you sent/receive. The following example shows a possible pricing tiers:
| 1-1,000,000 pings | $0.005000/ping |
| 1,000,001-2,000,000 pings | $0.0025000/ping |
| 2,000,000+ pings | $0.0020000/ping |
In this example, you pay $0.005000 for each of your first 1 million pings you send or receive in the billing cycle. Once you reach ping number 1,000,001, then each ping costs $0.002500 until you reach ping number 2,000,000. Once you reach ping number 2,000,001, then each ping costs $0.0020000 for the remainder of the billing cycle.
The number of pings you have used and the per-ping price in each tier appears on the RTB Utilization screen. You must monitor the RTB Utilization screen to know when you are approaching the end of one tier and about to enter the next tier.
RTB Utilization Screen
You navigate to the RTB Utilization screen by clicking Settings > Billing Settings > RTB Utilization.

This screen contains two tables:
- Utilization by Volume Range shows the per-ping cost for each tier of your billing plan.
- Utilization Breakdown table shows how many pings you have sent or received during the billing period in each category.
Utilization by Volume Range Table
This table contains a row for each tier of your ping billing plan. The tiers are defined by range of pings sent/received. This table contains the following columns:
- Subscription Plan: The name of your RTB subscription plan.
- Billing Period: The date range that defines the billing period.
- Volume Range: The range of pings sent/received that defines this tier.
- Price/Ping: The price you pay for pings while you're in this tier.
- Pings: The number of pings you have sent/received in this tier.
- Cost: The cost for the pings you have sent/received in this tier.
Utilization Breakdown Table
A table appears with a row for each RTB campaign in your account. This table contains the following columns:
- Campaign: The campaign name.
- Real Time Bidding Pings: The number of pings you have sent/received through this campaign during the billing cycle.
- Ring Tree Target Pings: The number of pings you have sent to or received from ring tree targets during the billing cycle.
- Custom Scoring Pings: The number of pings you have sent/received while calculating custom scoring during the billing cycle.
- TrustedForm Pings: The number of pings you have sent to or received from TrustedForm during the billing cycle.
- Jornaya Pings: The number of pings you have sent to or received from Jornaya during the billing cycle.
- Total Pings: The total number of pings you have sent/received during the billing cycle. This number is the sum of the other ping columns. This value determines which tier you are currently in.
You can click most of the column headers to sort the table by the value in that field. Click the header again to reverse the sort, and click it a third time to remove the sort. You can page through each table individually.
How to Export the Tables
Use the following steps to export the data from the tables on the RTB Utilization screen:
- Navigate to Settings > Billing Settings > RTB Utilization.
- Configure the time zone and date range fields at the top of the screen to include the data you want to export.
- Click the Export CSV button at the top of the table you want to export.
The CSV contains the same information as the table you exported. See the column description in the RTB Utilization Screen section earlier in this article for column descriptions.
