This policy applies specifically to your monthly or annual subscription fee. You likely pay other kinds of fees as well. See Types of Fees, Charges, and Recharges for a full list.
If your credit card on file expires or can't process the monthly or annual subscription fee for your account, Ringba takes the following steps:
- Day 1: After trying and failing to charge your card, Ringba sends an email to all the admins on your account. The email informs you of the credit card failure so you have a chance to update your credit card.
- Day 2: Ringba tries to charge your card again. If the charge fails, Ringba sends another email to all the admins on your account.
- Day 3: Unless you have updated the credit card information on your account, Ringba does not try to charge the credit card again. Ringba does send another email.
- Day 4: Unless you have updated the credit card information on your account, Ringba does not try to charge the credit card again. Ringba pauses your numbers so you cannot receive calls. Ringba sends another email to all admins on your account to inform you about the paused numbers.
- Day 5: Unless you have updated the credit card information on your account, Ringba does not try to charge the credit card again but sends another email.
- Day 6: Unless you have updated the credit card information on your account, Ringba does not try to charge the credit card again but sends another email.
- Day 7: If you have still not updated the credit card information on your account, Ringba permanently terminates your account. This cannot be undone.
If the credit card is successfully charged within the 6 days, Ringba sends your admin users an email notification advising that the account was restored and the numbers unpaused.
Tip: Make sure to set up multiple admin users in your account to ensure someone is always available to receive the notification emails and respond to credit card failures.
Updating Your Credit Card Information
You must pay your subscription fee to avoid account termination. You add a new credit card to your account or you can correct the problem with the existing card, delete it from your account, and re-add it.
You do not have to wait for Ringba's scheduled re-try to charge your card. Instead, we recommend you add any balance amount, even a small one like $5, to trigger Ringba to "notice" the new card. Ringba will add the balance and also charge the card for the subscription fee. This will automatically re-activate your numbers and stop the email messages.
